· Successful 2025 applicants must have completed the Funding & Acquittal forms during 2025 to be considered and eligible to receive grants in 2026 and 2027.
· If a grant was received in previous years, and funds were not fully spent on the projects, this may affect the award of a future grant.
2. Requirements
· All organisations (individuals are not eligible to apply) may apply for funding, but the funds must be used for projects which are in accordance with the Shulchan Aruch.
· The Foundation will consider applications for projects and/or initiatives that meet The Chessed Foundation Giving Protocol as determined by the Advisory Committees and the Board.

· Late applications will not be considered.
· Successful applicants must use their best endeavour to complete approved projects within the timeframe outlined in their application.
· Successful applicants must advise The Chessed Foundation of any changes that may affect their ability to undertake or complete the approved project according to the timeframe outlined in the application.
· If the successful applicant is unable to undertake or complete the project, or the grant is not fully expended upon completion, the organisation must report on the unexpended grant to the Foundation.
· Successful applicants are required to lodge a funding "Review and Acquittal" form for each project, using the form accessible via the portal. The first review form is to be completed at the latest by 30th June.
· If the June acquital report does not acquit for 100% of funds granted, then a final report is due by 31st December of the grant year.
· Successful applicants must complete and sign the Grant Agreement prior to funds being made available.
3. Selection Criteria
The factors that will be taken into consideration when applications are being assessed are:

· The project demonstrates value for money. The application must include a budget with detailed costings and evidence of the capability to deliver to the proposed timetable and budget.
· The project maintains its outcomes or benefits beyond the funding period. This must be demonstrated in the grant application.
· The project must be able to evaluate its impact and success. Key performance indicators must be outlined in the grant application.

· Unsuccessful applicants are welcome to reapply in subsequent years, unless advised that they are outside of the Giving Protocol on a project.
· All applications will remain confidential.
